5.20.12

I’m back to137.0 lbs. Yes, this means I’ve gained, but I only went up after I started working out regularly again, so I’m going to assume I’m gaining muscle weight + fluctuating because of water weight. I haven’t changed anything else.

All in all, no issues here! I haven’t been doing the 30DS for the past few days because of the sheer amount of physical activity in my life: shoveling mulch and wood chips for 3 hours for a garden (which left my shoulders and arms very, very sore), many hours of dancing in heels, and now two days of Bamboozle. I am exhausted. ;___; But it’s alright, I’m hopping right back on schedule tomorrow with two more days of Level 1, and then hopefully it’s on to Level 2 :) I’m getting abs again and it’s lovely.

Off to see Bon Jovi yayyy~

Days 1 - 4 are complete!

And I feel goooood. Getting started again is always the hardest part. Once I get into the flow, it all becomes second nature. :)

Still alive!

And ready to get back on this fitness bandwagon.

Last March was the first time I seriously started trying to lose weight. I made some marvelous progress and began my summer happier and healthier than I had ever been. Once school started, I continued working out and eating healthy, but I had bigger things to concentrate on than losing more weight. (I did become a pescatarian, though! That’s been cool.) I had college applications, senior year, extracurricular activities, and generally enjoying myself. So I disappeared off tumblr for a long while. Over the winter, I found it much harder to eat all the super healthy foods that had helped me in the spring—but that was okay, because I was working out sometimes twice a day, thanks to cheerleading, and I ended up far stronger than I have ever been in my life. (I can’t imagine how long it will take for me to get that kind of muscle back now. ;___; But I will, I will! Pop Pilates, I’m lookin’ at you.)

Anybody else get that winter feeling, though? The cold weather makes me crave hot chocolate and creamy soups and pasta and all the wonderful things that in all likelihood are a natural response to keep me warm.. I feel like eating tons and hibernating probably more than I should :P But that also comes with the stress that accompanies my winters, I suppose.

In any case, as cheer season ended and the weather warmed up, I found myself longing for sunrise/sunset runs and outdoor concerts and dinners made of fresh greens. Then suddenly the berries and the Chobanis and the salads started reappearing in my fridge and I was like YES. YES, LET’S DO THIS.

SO. On that note. I’m gonna go for the 30 Day Shred again. This time, I’ll be around long enough to finish all 30 days, mostly uninterrupted. When I get bored or feel like going outside, I’ll go jogging and do pilates videos instead. But I will do this. I will see this through. I am determined to be strong and fit again. And this time, I have the attitude going into it that I had only dreamed of last March.

It’s been quite a year. I hope you’ll all stay with me for a summer of excitement & fitness. :)

Word. I’ve never heard a guy say “OMG, your thigh gap is the sexiest thing I’ve ever seen, and would you LOOK at those collarbones. It also really turns me on when you tell me how much you hate your body and how flabby you think your ass is.”

I’ve already reblogged this, but reblogging for the comment, haha ^^^

i’ve had SEVERAL men comment on my collarbones. When i start losing weight, they get so excited about the possibility of being able to see my collarbones and hip bones because “they’re sexy”. They DO care. Nice try, tumblr feel-good bullshit.
also, it drives me nuts that people tell me i wont ever be loved just because i hate my body. fuck you.

Not our fault you have a crappy attitude or know crappy men. I’m tired of debunking this BS. I really gotta put together that video that proves my post because I need to share these interviews with the misguided world.
And P.S. My boyfriend not only fell for me for my personality, but he thinks I’m beautiful. Suck on that.

The “several men” that have given you compliments don’t represent every man in the world, and I’m pretty sure most men would see this original image and be offended at being stereotyped as so shallow. Give men some credit. They aren’t animals chasing after a piece of meat. They’re human beings, and contrary to popular belief, most of them view you as a human being too - not a bag of bones that exists for their pleasure.

^ The comments. ALWAYS RELEVANT.
Confidence is sexier than your protruding bones, all day, any day.
